Welcome to my Florals Gallery. I enjoy painting individual large flowers or small groupings of large flowers. One of my favorite things to do is to paint white flowers with all the lights and shadows defining the shape. I am also partial to bright colored flowers in Red, Orange, Yellow and Deep blues.
My painting has evolved over the past few years. I started painting florals in thin layers of pigment but have moved to thicker more intense layers of pigment and fewer layers. I think this gives a boldness to my work I didn't have before.
